SEEING IS BELIEVING: THE LIFE OF A PSYCHIC
written by: Ingrid Jane Nugent
Daniela Aum is a psychic and spiritual leader. Her story, insight and wisdom are inspiring beyond words and should compel us all to “do more” for one another and ourselves
What is a psychic? Don’t think of the kind sitting in a booth draped in jewels and a headband- but the kind that can see truth. Daniela Aum is a professional psychic. And a good one, she reads for a pocket full of celebrities across North America. She has been an “off the record” source for police investigations and scouted by large corporations to predict market trends. She is also an artist, author, and meditation leader. But what is most profound about this intriguing woman is her strength and commitment to humanity. Daniela has meaning and purpose for us all.
She always knew she had psychic abilities. From a young age she could see auras illuminating people. Her father took her to the horse races. Her mother took her to the doctor.
“Normal doesn’t interest me,” says Daniela. She grew up needing to explore physical and spiritual unknowns. At 22, she joined a convent hoping to gain perspective on her extraordinary gift but found herself questioning more: “My faith was too big for one religion,” which confirmed her decision to leave the sisterhood.
After spending some time at the convent, Daniela left and studied art at the University of Waterloo. There she crafted her sculpture technique and artistic abilities. She thoroughly enjoyed her studies but due to financial constraints she was forced to leave university.
At 30 she was inspired by Jesus’ righteous attitude. And so, she sold her possessions and moved to the top of a mountain near Folley Lake in B.C. for a week. She lived in solitude with minimal shelter and a limited supply of food. Daniela describes this as her most powerful spiritual awakening. “It was unrelenting ascension, pure”.
Life’s lessons continued and Daniela searched for alternative paths.
Daniela worked as a candle-maker in a small town north of Ontario. Here, others discovered she was psychic. People flocked to her for advice and guidance. At her peak, Daniela read for up to 10 hours a day. Mentally and spiritually exhausted, she began to get burnt out. She observed too many people were concerned about money, poor parenting, and controlling relationships. The cause, she found, was related to our fear of being.
Daniela asserted, “A psychic is the last stop for someone in trouble. There are huge responsibilities and pressures related to reading for someone.” She continues to note how her visions should be used as advice, and not necessarily what may come to fruition. “We all have choices,” she said. “I show you one direction, you can take another.”
Provoked by people’s inability to take her advice, wrote For The Love of Self, a meditation manual on how to achieve consciousness. It’s about self-fulfillment and her attempt to wake a world sleeping through life. The book is beneficial for everyone at all stages of life. She said “The book strips away your ego. You get a sense of realization that makes you aware of all your demons and your being.”
According to Daniela humanity is entering a new phase of evolution. The questions people are asking are slowly changing too. “People now are more intrinsically aligned with themselves and concerned about their purpose. We are reaching a new stage of enlightenment and embarking on a big ascension,” says Daniela, “Now people want happiness and there are concrete ways to achieve that.”
She recommends how to improve one’s day-to-day self: The first is meditation. “Even simple things like drinking more water allows you to balance your emotions and elevates your ability to resonate with the world around you.” Silence is also a necessity. “Words manifest and transfer bad energy. We need silence to reflect.” Daniela notes our obsession with “titles” and lack compassion. We put too many expectations for validation from one another and this spawns negativity and unhappiness.
Daniela Aum lives and works in the surrounding area of Toronto focusing on her art & preparing for the ascension in 2012.
Daniela Lately
Daniela is best known for her work as an intuitive although one of her greatest passions is art. In her own words,
“My spiritual life & work in the mystical arts fulfills my soul’s purpose but the art, well that’s my passion! My bloodlust! Painting is what makes my heart sing—as does my social activism—so I try to combine the two, and use the art as a platform for raising awareness on the various causes I resonate with.
For several years I stepped away from the canvass feeling an urgent need to place all my focus in the mystical side of my life and work rushing to wake as many people up as I could before the 8-8-8 gateway came. Once that passed, I felt a shift in the winds. Duende, the spirit that possesses musicians & artists, came through me very powerfully, and I knew that my direction had to be within and in colour. “
