There are 7 energy centers (imagine disks or small vortexes) that run along your spine from the base to the crown.  

Each of these energy centers spins and moves energy around your body, kind of like blood carries oxygen.  

Each of these centers (like all other things in the universe) vibrates at different frequencies.  These frequencies match those of light, and each Chakra (energy centre) emits a different coloured light that permeates and surrounds you.  The lights of the 7 chakras combined appears metaphysically as a bubble of light.  This ‘bubble’ is called an AURA.

 Each Chakra deals with specific areas of health, life and self.  It is very similar to The Hierarchy of Needs Concept. People are sensitive to other people’s aura even without being aware. When there is ‘just something about that person,’ that’s really you reacting to something either positive or negative in the energy they project.  Energy is projected through your chakras. When you are doing & feeling great your aura is big and energy bright and vibrant.  People will compliment you more.  Things get attracted to you more easily.  In contrast, when you feel down in the dumps or ill, your aura shrinks and becomes sullied.  People will not be as receptive.

Chakras spin at different frequencies depending on a multitude of things, including diet, mood, thoughts, scenery etc.  When they spin too fast (usually in times of stress) you get one set of problems, when they spin too slow you get another.  Sometimes they get misaligned…that’s when you feel out of sorts or scattered.  

ROOT CHAKRA: Located at the base of spine.  The colour of light it emits is red.  This is your sex Chakra, deals with areas of basic survival.  It affects your reproductive organs all body parts of the surrounding areas.

SACRAL CHAKRA: located below your navel, this Chakra emits a warm orange glow.  Deals with home, relationships, and family. Deals with weight and digestion.

SOLAR PLEXUS: Beneath your chest, top of ribcage in the centre, deals with safety, success and following your ‘gut.’ Emits a sunny yellow light. Anxiety, gall bladder etc.

HEART CHAKRA:  Located exactly where you would assume, this Chakra deals with Love, Money and openness to life’s good.  It emits an emerald green light with pink edges. Deals with heart and associated functions.

THROAT CHAKRA:  In the throat, this Chakra emits a turquoise colour and deals with communicating, expressing your truth, and all areas of health dealing with ears, nose & throat.

THIRD EYE: Located between the 4 lobes of the brain, this Chakra emits an Indigo light.  This Chakra deals with intuitive, intellectual and artistic gifts.

CROWN:  At the top of your head, this violet light energy centre receives cosmic energy from the Divine.  This is the energy centre one sends cosmic energy to and from. 

 There is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much more!!!! There are way more areas of health that Chakras affect then I have written.  Please look them up on the web or local library & bookstores.  Chakras are easy to use in healing, meditations, spells, and organizing your life.  You can use crystals, foods, scents and colour to heal and align you.  Saying the Lord’s Prayer while mentally putting your attention on each Chakra from CROWN to ROOT automatically aligns them.
